A couple of beautiful autumn days in the Montmatre District of Paris.
Walking around the streets we were very quickly reminded of how steep it is.
A couple of places we remember from the time we spent here with Kathryn in Jan 2012 and lots of new places. The memories were the "Man walking through the Wall", the artists in Place du Terte, Sacré-Coeur.
We are getting used to the history and "substance" that jumps out at us, whilst it is just the sights locals have grown up with.
New experiences were wandering through the tiny Musée de la Vie romantique, and arriving at Sacré-Coeur on Saturday afternoon in the middle of a nun's induction service into the order at Sacré-Coeur- 3 red hats (we presume cardinals) participating.
Morning tea in the gardens of the museum was great,we fumbled our way through ordering in French, and could make out most of the information on the mueum plaques, but please no body speak too fast!.
